The railways is likely to provide credit card facility to passengers at Patna Junction soon. A separate counter for credit card holders will facilitate passengers at the Patna Junction to procure computerised reserved tickets easily. This facility is available at four metros besides Bangalore station.
According to Danapur DRM Gyan Prakash Srivastava, the railways would consider this demand of passengers as most of them still prefer to travel with credit cards, particularly businessmen and women. The elite class of passengers still do not prefer to carry money in cash during their journey. This proposed facility would prove to be a boon for passengers particularly business men visiting Patna from far off places, he said.
The DRM said the railways is fully committed to provide all kinds of amenities to passengers at Patna Junction. It was with this end in view railways has already provided four ATM counters at Patna Junction to cater to the needs of passengers. There is one more ATM counter proposed to be installed at Karbhighaiya end to fulfil the needs of passengers, he said.
